No Artist Can Paint Your Life Better Than You Can
I love artists so much because of their high level of creativity and dexterity.
They could easily imagine things and paint them out for other people to see, just as God created the world from nothing.
They can also paint your own imagination or images for you and make them look real.
I enjoyed the experience I had with one of them recently.
I requested him to make a painting of me, out of my ageing childhood photograph, which a photographer took me when I was barely 5 years old.
I needed the artwork badly, for two main reasons.
One is to preserve it.
And two, to boast and show to my friends who had no personal childhood photographs of themselves.
At the end of the day, the young man did a very beautiful life-size painting of me as a baby.
The painting was so real that most people, who saw it, did not believe it was an artistic work.

That said, did you know there is something those of us who are not artists can paint better than the most creative and most experienced artist?
Can you guess what that thing is?
It’s our LIFE, in case your guess is different from mine.
Yes, our LIFE, you read it right.
Come along with me as I explain this to you.
We live and make plans every day and execute them accordingly, with a view to achieving certain set objectives or goals.
Or, don’t you also follow this process?
You should!
Living and setting goals and making plans to achieve those goals, day by day, is similar to when an artist sketches and continues to work on his sketches until he finally comes up with a final or a complete painting.
As artists draw and paint their imagination until it becomes a full-fledge artwork, so do we draw and paint our plans until they lead us to achieve our goal or goals.
We may not be gifted as artists to draw and paint as they do, but we certainly can draw and paint the issues of our lives better than anyone of them.
I contracted my artist-friend for him to make a painting for I had no drawing and painting skills, but I have the best skill to pain my life better than he can do it.
In other words, no artist can design your life better than you can, no matter how dexterous or experienced he or she may be.
Not even any of the greatest artists of all time, including Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Artemisia Gentileschi, Rembrandt, JMW Turner, Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Claude Monet, Mary Cassatt, Tamara De Lempicka, Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’Keeffe, or Jackson Pollock.
For example, it is your duty to decide or paint out what you want to be in life or how happy or sad you would like to become, and no one else.
The point I am making here is that you are the ordained master of your fate, as well as the decider of what you wish to become in life, rather than allowing other people to determine and set the rules of your life for you nor live according to their own opinions.
The duty of every decision of your life rests squarely on your shoulders.
This is because God has made you the right person that can make or paint it for yourself, better than anyone else.
You are simply the best artist that can paint your life exactly as God planned it for you.

So, don’t you ever make the mistake of handing over the paintbrush, with which you paint your life, to any artist or to anyone else to paint your life for you, to avoid a life of regret.
I repeat, DON’T, and NEVER you hand the paintbrush you use in painting your life to any artist or anyone else because you’re the only artist who can draw and paint or make the best decisions concerning your life better than anyone else.
This is an article of my own personal thought based on Iva Ursano’s quote, “You are the artist of your life. Don’t give the paintbrush to anyone else.”
I sincerely hope it will make some meaning to you, as well as help you make some necessary corrections or adjustments in your life.
Bless you.
